I received a complete set of the Nexxus Oil Infinite hair care from Influenster complimentary for review purposes. It includes one full size shampoo, conditioner and nourishing hair oil.

 

The shampoo and conditioner work great. Right away I felt the texture of my frizzy and dry hair change to a strong, hydrated and shiny feel. The shampoo and conditioner don't really have a fragranced scent. It just smells clean. I applied one pump of the nourishing oil to my damp hair before I blow-dried. It really does eliminate frizz as advertised. I did not have to iron, as I usually do, to remove the frizz.

I received a free product sample from BzzAgent of Silk Cashew Milk. I've normally had their Original and Vanilla products. The cashew milk has the same great taste than the original and vanilla. It only has 60 calories so it's lower than the 90 calorie milks. I found it to be very creamy and flavorful. You can find it in your local supermarket. Occasionally the market puts it on sale. Just have to keep an eye out :)

Folgers has a new product line called "enhancers." They are a small bottle which you can carry with you virtually anywhere. All you do is add some to your regular coffee for a delicious addition of flavor. The flavors are: vanilla, mocha, caramel and hazelnut. I tried each one and they are all great! My favorite is the caramel one because it's such a silky taste. Check them out!

It's rare to find a vendor these days which tells you a price and an estimated time to completion and that it comes true. I had my encounter with one and I don't think it should be left without sharing this company with the world. I wanted to have plantation blinds installed so I called many companies and got different quotes. Among these companies, was Elite Décor. JC (owner) came to my house and measured each window, showed me samples of the different options and customized each window one by one to ensure it would come out to my satisfaction. He pointed out different items of each window to mitigate any imperfections (uneven measurements, cracks, finishes, etc.). He then told me if I went with his company that I would have them installed in 14 days. Price-wise he was the best so I decided to go with them. I couldn't believe how in 14 days he was calling me ready to install. And he did exactly that! They came out awesome. I honestly recommend them 100%!

I received from Influenster a Maybelline Superstay Better Skin foundation. They sent it to me for review purposes. I have to say I really like the packaging to start because it has two proofs against spills in my purse. The actual foundation is great. It goes on smooth and covers very well and for very long. I put it on at 7AM and I did not touch it up at all during the day. At 6 PM I still had very good coverage. The quality is not that of a drugstore brand but instead a premium brand. I normally use Clinique and the coverage is very comparable to that brand's coverage. I would recommend it.

Amsterdam was kind enough to send me a free sample of a genius idea. It's a business card on a pen which is also a stylus! Check it out:

You can have them print your company name and address on it and they cost a little over $0.60/pen. Not bad at all and definitely your customers would appreciate that over the conventional business card. They will use it in public in turn gaining you more exposure to the public. They sent me a white sample but there are many other colors to choose from.

I received a package from BzzAgent with Schick products to review. It contained 3 Schick Hydro Silk disposable razors. Each one has five blades for a very clean and close shave. I've always used the Venus blades which are great. However, I did like how these left my legs moisturized and not dry. The box also contained Skintimate Skin Therapy Lotionized shave gel. Great product. You know the lotion is real when you feel your legs hours after shaving and they are still silky smooth. The louffa is great. It has a nice texture since it is not so soft and not too hard. I hate when they are so rough it feels like if you're shaving with sand paper. The box had some coupons which I gave away to family and friends. Some of them have gotten back to me to tell me how they loved the product.

So this week, I got this cute box from BzzAgent with a complimentary box of Glad with Gain trash bags. These are drawstring trash bags (great for your kitchen) which have the refreshing original scent of Gain. I've always used Glad bags because they are sturdy enough to hold all of my heavy trash items without breaking. The fact that they've added the Gain scent to it, to me, is amazing! I definitely recommend you try them out.

I received free samples from Emergen-C of their immune system booster. The first sample is of their Rasberry flavored immune plus system with vitamin D. It contains complex antioxidants to help you fight infection causing diseases. The second product had an orange flavor and it is a 1,000 mg Vitamin C packet. These are super easy to carry around since they each come sealed in little packets. Just grab a glass of water and pour it in and let it fizz. I have to admit that both taste natural. They don't taste like medicine. I would definitely recommend that you take one before you travel on a plane or an enclosed space. It puts your immune system in attack mode and won't let you get sick. At least that's my plan :)

I received my very first Smiley360 mission. They sent me Sweetarts Soft & Chewy Ropes sample as well as one to share. I really enjoyed the candy ropes. They have a nice tangy cherry taste. I love cherry so for me, any candy that tastes like cherry is a winner. But I have to say this one also won me over because it does not taste waxy. I don't like Twizzlers for that reason. I was skeptical at first thinking that these candies would be the same but that was not the case at all. The punch filling tastes amazing. Since they are ropes, you can keep these at your desk for that inevitable sugar craving that hits every now and then. Definitely recommend them.

I received from Influenster a bag of 10 Tide Pods plus Febreze to test. I love how these little things cleaned my clothes and left them with a nice light scent. The smell, although it isn't too strong, lasts a really long time! Simply drop the pod in with your laundry and get ready to be impressed.

I visited a spectacular waterfront restaurant which is located in a private isle called Grove Isle. It is located in the Coconut Grove, FL area. It is a restaurant that is located inside Grove Isle hotel. The restaurant specializes in seafood; however, it has quality poultry and meat as well. When it comes to seating, I recommend you request a table outside by the water. The restaurant has two options for outdoor seating. The first is literally right outside the door when you head out. But there is a much more intimate and romantic option. There are tables right on the edge of the water and each table sits on its very own rock which is separated from the other.

 

The service was great. Despite the fact that we are far from the actual restaurant, the waiter was on top of us without being overbearing and passing by too often. The food was delicious. I had a half chicken which came with sweet potato. It was filling and it had a very deliciously seasoned flavor. My husband had the Filet Mignon with truffle fries. I had a piece of the steak and it was nicely cooked to perfection. The truffle fries were to die for. To finish, we had the cookie skillet which had chocolate chip and raisins and it was topped with vanilla ice cream. Soooo delicious. :)

 

Overall, no complaints. There is valet parking which costs $8. After dinner, take a stroll on the paved walkway for an even closer look at the water. I recommend 7PM dining and definitely make a reservation. Something to keep in mind, the seating is on a first come first serve basis so make sure you get there a little before your RSVP time.

I have always been a huge Purell fan. I have their antibacterial at my desk, at home, in my car, purse, everywhere! I was provided with a box of their different samples to review on my blog. I will go into detail as to why these products, to me, are amazing.

 

Before I start, I wanted to list some benefits of the sanitizing products:

- Kills 99.99% of germs that cause illness

- Used by top leading hospitals

- Proven to be effective in maintaining skin health

- Gentle on hands

  

 

First up, it's the sanitizing wipes. These are great to keep in your purse or your car. Anytime you need to clean up a messy situation or refresh your hands while killing germs, these guys come to the rescue. They have a nice soft but refreshing scent. The bag is re-sealable in order to keep your wipes moist and fresh. 

 

The hand sanitizer makes a great work or home companion. Simply pump one time on the palm of your hand and you are killing almost any illness causing germ. These are great to have around and use often when flu season is in full swing.

The final product is my favorite. They are portable 1 oz. JELLY WRAP Carriers which make it so easy to bring your sanitizer along. They come in different color jelly cases. The pictured spring scents are: Apricot Blossom, Coconut Beach Siesta, Ocean Kiss and Watermelon Splash. I loved each and every one of them. They smell great. My favorite is Coconut Beach Siesta. I feel like I'm at the beach relaxing when I use it.


All in all, the brand has always been reputable. But their products definitely give the brand the justification to be used widely. Their innovation in carrying cases shows their company is dedicated to making it easy for their customers to live a clean and healthy lifestyle. Look for these wonderful products in your local pharmacy or grocery store.

You may have heard of the company Ebates. Ebates offers a cash back percentage on hundreds of stores simply by shopping online through their site. I signed up for Ebates a few months ago and definitely feel I'm ready to share my overall review.

 

 

The sign up process is extremely easy. You provide basic information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, etc. I received a $10 gift card to Macys simply for signing up. The company has various sign-up promotions so you may receive a different incentive at the time of enrollment. Once I signed up, it was shopping time. I browsed the hundreds of options of stores that they have participating and I noticed the cash back percentages varied. For example, Macys was offering 6% while Sephora was offering 8%. They also have car rental companies, airlines, hotels and many other services participating. I decided to go with Macy's (my all time favorite store). I shopped for a total purchase of $112. I received cash back of $5.70 on that purchase. The cash back is based on the subtotal. Taxes/fees are excluded in the calculation. I was so excited that I took full advantage by doing all of my Christmas shopping online through them. Ebates sends their cash back "Big Fat Check" quarterly. So about a month ago, I got a whopping $173 for my purchases the previous quarter.

 

Overall, the concept is brilliant. I get paid to do something that I already do anyway - shop online. They are very communicative and keep me informed as soon as the cash back has been added to my account. They sent me an e-mail letting me know that my "Big Fat Check" was on it's way. On Valentine's Day, I went to eat at Fleming's located at 2525 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134. I had made reservations for 2 for 7:45PM and got there a few minutes earlier. When we arrived, we were greeted right away. The host told us it would just be five minutes past my reservation time. They were right on the money. At 7:50, they were walking us to our table. I analyzed how they handled the high volume of people arriving. Some people didn't have reservations, but they still found a way to accommodate them. Truly impressive.

 

The dinner experience was not short of perfect. The waiter and his assistant were on top of us the whole time, making sure everything was to our liking. We ordered the Petite Filet Mignon and the Main Filet Mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. We also ordered two sides: Chipotle Mac & Cheese and the Fleming's Potatoes. The Chipotle Mac & Cheese was delicious with a nice combination of cheesy with a small kick. I didn't find the Fleming's Potatoes to be as good. They tasted okay though. For desert we had the decadent Chocolate Lava Cake. It was so delicious. The warm cake with fudge mixed with the vanilla ice cream and fresh cream was to die for!

 

We saw something happen while we were waiting for the check. A man proposed to his girlfriend right next to us. The restaurant created a beautiful desert and placed flower petals on their table. It was truly a beautiful setup for a proposal.

 

Overall, our dining experience was five stars worthy. Both the service and the quality of food were excellent. It is even more impressive that this restaurant maintained both in top condition given all of the clientele that they had that night.

Whether you want to sit by the window or head outside for some drinks or a cozy time by the fireplace, you can't go wrong here.

 

 

Chick-Fil-A - Grand Opening

Last week was the grand opening of Chick-Fil-A at 9301 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33174. I went to have lunch there and they had setup speakers in the parking lot and were blasting fun music. They also had their mascot out on Flagler Street attracting customers. The location has a fresh new smell and look. Their staff was very friendly and they were going around making sure everyone's order was prepared to their utmost satisfaction. They gave away mini cows (pic below) with their traditional slogan "Eat Mor Chikin" as well as gift cards for free sandwiches, breakfast and chicken tenders. They had balloons up and each table had a vase with real roses and the "Chick-Fil-A logo was printed on them (pic below). It's nice to welcome such an innovative restaurant to the Flagler/Doral area.

I recently went to see Amaluna by Cirque du Soleil at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. I was greeted by a parking fee of $25! After the shock of having to pay so much to park the rest was great. The beautiful tent can be seen from the expressway. Hard to believe that under these tents this company sets up such a world-class performance. The tent setup has AC and great seating. You can't really go wrong no matter where you sit. The show was full of beautiful lights, vibrant music and outstanding performers. You really feel like you leave your seat and enter the show. The performers are excellent. It's amazing to see how their bodies are so sculpted and defined from the years of training and performing. There was a clown character in between the performances which was hilarious. The clown gives the show an interactive feel. Overall A+ rating.

This is my favorite place to visit. It is located at 3609 South Miami Ave., Miami, FL 33133. At this location there is a chapel which offers Catholic mass and confession. It is a quaint but beautifully decorated place of worship. In the parking lot of this chapel, is the beautiful bay. They have setup benches where you can sit. It really offers you a breathtaking view of Miami, Key Biscayne and Brickell all in one place.
