I received free samples from Emergen-C of their immune system booster. The first sample is of their Rasberry flavored immune plus system with vitamin D. It contains complex antioxidants to help you fight infection causing diseases. The second product had an orange flavor and it is a 1,000 mg Vitamin C packet. These are super easy to carry around since they each come sealed in little packets. Just grab a glass of water and pour it in and let it fizz. I have to admit that both taste natural. They don't taste like medicine. I would definitely recommend that you take one before you travel on a plane or an enclosed space. It puts your immune system in attack mode and won't let you get sick. At least that's my plan :)

I received my very first Smiley360 mission. They sent me Sweetarts Soft & Chewy Ropes sample as well as one to share. I really enjoyed the candy ropes. They have a nice tangy cherry taste. I love cherry so for me, any candy that tastes like cherry is a winner. But I have to say this one also won me over because it does not taste waxy. I don't like Twizzlers for that reason. I was skeptical at first thinking that these candies would be the same but that was not the case at all. The punch filling tastes amazing. Since they are ropes, you can keep these at your desk for that inevitable sugar craving that hits every now and then. Definitely recommend them.

I received from Influenster a bag of 10 Tide Pods plus Febreze to test. I love how these little things cleaned my clothes and left them with a nice light scent. The smell, although it isn't too strong, lasts a really long time! Simply drop the pod in with your laundry and get ready to be impressed.

I visited a spectacular waterfront restaurant which is located in a private isle called Grove Isle. It is located in the Coconut Grove, FL area. It is a restaurant that is located inside Grove Isle hotel. The restaurant specializes in seafood; however, it has quality poultry and meat as well. When it comes to seating, I recommend you request a table outside by the water. The restaurant has two options for outdoor seating. The first is literally right outside the door when you head out. But there is a much more intimate and romantic option. There are tables right on the edge of the water and each table sits on its very own rock which is separated from the other.

 

The service was great. Despite the fact that we are far from the actual restaurant, the waiter was on top of us without being overbearing and passing by too often. The food was delicious. I had a half chicken which came with sweet potato. It was filling and it had a very deliciously seasoned flavor. My husband had the Filet Mignon with truffle fries. I had a piece of the steak and it was nicely cooked to perfection. The truffle fries were to die for. To finish, we had the cookie skillet which had chocolate chip and raisins and it was topped with vanilla ice cream. Soooo delicious. :)

 

Overall, no complaints. There is valet parking which costs $8. After dinner, take a stroll on the paved walkway for an even closer look at the water. I recommend 7PM dining and definitely make a reservation. Something to keep in mind, the seating is on a first come first serve basis so make sure you get there a little before your RSVP time.

I have always been a huge Purell fan. I have their antibacterial at my desk, at home, in my car, purse, everywhere! I was provided with a box of their different samples to review on my blog. I will go into detail as to why these products, to me, are amazing.

 

Before I start, I wanted to list some benefits of the sanitizing products:

- Kills 99.99% of germs that cause illness

- Used by top leading hospitals

- Proven to be effective in maintaining skin health

- Gentle on hands

  

 

First up, it's the sanitizing wipes. These are great to keep in your purse or your car. Anytime you need to clean up a messy situation or refresh your hands while killing germs, these guys come to the rescue. They have a nice soft but refreshing scent. The bag is re-sealable in order to keep your wipes moist and fresh. 

 

The hand sanitizer makes a great work or home companion. Simply pump one time on the palm of your hand and you are killing almost any illness causing germ. These are great to have around and use often when flu season is in full swing.

The final product is my favorite. They are portable 1 oz. JELLY WRAP Carriers which make it so easy to bring your sanitizer along. They come in different color jelly cases. The pictured spring scents are: Apricot Blossom, Coconut Beach Siesta, Ocean Kiss and Watermelon Splash. I loved each and every one of them. They smell great. My favorite is Coconut Beach Siesta. I feel like I'm at the beach relaxing when I use it.


All in all, the brand has always been reputable. But their products definitely give the brand the justification to be used widely. Their innovation in carrying cases shows their company is dedicated to making it easy for their customers to live a clean and healthy lifestyle. Look for these wonderful products in your local pharmacy or grocery store.

You may have heard of the company Ebates. Ebates offers a cash back percentage on hundreds of stores simply by shopping online through their site. I signed up for Ebates a few months ago and definitely feel I'm ready to share my overall review.

 

 

The sign up process is extremely easy. You provide basic information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, etc. I received a $10 gift card to Macys simply for signing up. The company has various sign-up promotions so you may receive a different incentive at the time of enrollment. Once I signed up, it was shopping time. I browsed the hundreds of options of stores that they have participating and I noticed the cash back percentages varied. For example, Macys was offering 6% while Sephora was offering 8%. They also have car rental companies, airlines, hotels and many other services participating. I decided to go with Macy's (my all time favorite store). I shopped for a total purchase of $112. I received cash back of $5.70 on that purchase. The cash back is based on the subtotal. Taxes/fees are excluded in the calculation. I was so excited that I took full advantage by doing all of my Christmas shopping online through them. Ebates sends their cash back "Big Fat Check" quarterly. So about a month ago, I got a whopping $173 for my purchases the previous quarter.

 

Overall, the concept is brilliant. I get paid to do something that I already do anyway - shop online. They are very communicative and keep me informed as soon as the cash back has been added to my account. They sent me an e-mail letting me know that my "Big Fat Check" was on it's way. Valentine's Day Dinner at Fleming's Steakhouse

On Valentine's Day, I went to eat at Fleming's located at 2525 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134. I had made reservations for 2 for 7:45PM and got there a few minutes earlier. When we arrived, we were greeted right away. The host told us it would just be five minutes past my reservation time. They were right on the money. At 7:50, they were walking us to our table. I analyzed how they handled the high volume of people arriving. Some people didn't have reservations, but they still found a way to accommodate them. Truly impressive.

 

The dinner experience was not short of perfect. The waiter and his assistant were on top of us the whole time, making sure everything was to our liking. We ordered the Petite Filet Mignon and the Main Filet Mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. We also ordered two sides: Chipotle Mac & Cheese and the Fleming's Potatoes. The Chipotle Mac & Cheese was delicious with a nice combination of cheesy with a small kick. I didn't find the Fleming's Potatoes to be as good. They tasted okay though. For desert we had the decadent Chocolate Lava Cake. It was so delicious. The warm cake with fudge mixed with the vanilla ice cream and fresh cream was to die for!

 

We saw something happen while we were waiting for the check. A man proposed to his girlfriend right next to us. The restaurant created a beautiful desert and placed flower petals on their table. It was truly a beautiful setup for a proposal.

 

Overall, our dining experience was five stars worthy. Both the service and the quality of food were excellent. It is even more impressive that this restaurant maintained both in top condition given all of the clientele that they had that night.
